Dead Set

Post by Mobiesque »

Charlie Brooker's new 5 part horror series, very reminiscent of the 28 Days series but with a good helping of Brooker's humor. That said, it's far less of a comedy and more like a great zombie movie than I had expected given the premise. That being:

While zombies are taking over the world, the show focuses on one group of survivors - the inhabitants of the British Big Brother household.

I've only got one episode to go and so far it has been great. Plenty of bleak, high frame-rate shots. Lots of gore and a fucking solid plot. Some cameos from Big Brother celebs and a surprise (to me) appearance as one of the house members from Mr Kevin Fucking Eldon.

"I wish you'd stop breathing so heavily, you're using up all the oxygen"
"It's not a submarine you fucking SPECIMEN. DO you even understand reality or is it all just a fucking series of colours and shapes and the occasional fucking noise?"

REALLY worth checking out.

hes brilliant cause he knows how to make an easy buck in a studio set in his garage entertaining his kids, an then use that money to make films he wants to make.
