Ricky Gervais... whats your opinion of Ricky Gervais?

Post by Thunder Bear »

I love him. The guy is a genius.

You all know The Office and Extras. Both great shows! I just finished the Extras christmas special. It was heartbreaking and hilarious at the same time. Three thumbs up!
Im not that into stand-up comedy, but I enjoy it from time to time. Ricky Gervais has some of the best stuff out there.

But what I would really like to recommend is his radio show, co starring Stephen Merchant and the wonderful mind of Karl Pilkington. Karl Pilkington is without a doubt one of the funniest guys alive. Every single word that comes out of his stupid mouth is pure gold.
The podcast has been around for a while, but if you havent heard it yet, do yourself a favor and check it out right away.

He's not a very diverse writer or actor. Extras was a bit poor when you consider The Office. Gervais' stand up is actually quite excellent. He is a comic genius but is one dimensional. He has a short shelf life unfortunately.

Funny guy.

Brought some new stuff to the comedy scene which was great.

Made me cringe in The Office like no one else.

The Office I liked. I haven't given Extras much of a go, but I don't like it.

His work in Night at the Museum is classic.
