Futurama Bender's Big Score + The Beast with a Billion Backs

Post by joey5001 »

Finally watched this movie, and gosh darn, it was so good. I loved the attack on fox at the beginning. And as per usual, it had some wonderful sentimental moments.

I can't wait for them to do more of these.
They're planning three more feature-lengths, I believe.
I hope it does well enough to bring the series back, since the writing's still sharp enough to pass muster.

The four films is supposed to be divided into episodes, 16 in total I think, and then shown on Comedy Central.

I downloaded this last week, and will watch it next week.

Three more? I thought it was three in total.
I love how they took one of the most emotional elements of any of the episodes (Seymour) and blew him up in such a stupid way.
The episode Jurassic Bark still gets me. "I waited for you Fry."
Nearl: Where's Babar?
X-tacle: He's in the shower.
Nearl: No he's not! Elephants take showers with their noses!

Jurassic Bark and Time Keeps on Slippin' have probably the saddest endings I've seen in cartoons.

I wasnt too crazy about this film. I only laughed about two times. Scruffy the janitor is gold as usual, and Santas beatboxing was nice. The rest of the jokes were mediocre. Still it was enjoyable do some degree. Like the Simpsons movie. A naked Leela helped, along with the Fox and Family Guy attacks.

Im putting my faith in the next films.

Yeah, it was shit.

Basically one idea that they had for an episode. Then they stretched it. To over two hours.

Pain.

I rewatched the last episode from series 4.
They should have ended it with that.

Season five was good too!

I watched parts of the film again, and noticed the song when Leela is dating Lars. Kick ass song, with a great bassline. Highlight of the film.

Season 5?
There isn't a season 5...
Unless you are talking about the forthcoming films?

The episode I am talking about is the one where Fry trades his hand with the Robot Devil.

I'm sorry.

But my point remains.

Blu-Ray won.

Futurama has never made me laugh. I can count on one hand how many times it has made me smirk.
Smirking doesn't count.

I dont laugh much. At least not when Im alone. And I always watch movies and series alone.

Smirking counts in my book. Everytime I smirk at something posted here at BF, I always reply with the "laught out loud" emoticon.

The Krazee-Eyez Killa episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm made me laugh out loud. It felt good.

Blu-Ray, right now, is about as popular/saturated as Laserdisc. It'll be a couple-three more years before anything's concrete.

The second film is now out.
The story line was pretty poop, but there were some really great moments. The 2d scene was downright inspired.

I haven't seen the second one yet. I thought Bender's Big Score was good, but not great. Way too many winking in-jokes for the fanboys.

Me too. I'm glad I'm not the only one who got choked up at the end of Jurassic Bark.

The endings of Parasites Lost and the Luck of the Fryish are also pretty touching.

I really want to get the soundtrack for the Beast with the Backs. Some of music is pretty trippy
