I don't know what to make of it. I like both Burton and Depp, but Burtons last two films didnt impress me. And I dont like musicals, unless it's done with animation.
One thing I know for sure, emos are going to steal it, and ruin it for the rest of us.
The only Burton film they never laid their hand on, is Big Fish. Probably because its too fucking good, and because Ewan is cooler than Depp.

I like to think of his films as childmovies for adults and children. Films that adults can watch with their kids, without being bored.
I hope that when I one day have kids, that there will be directors like Tim Burton out there. Sure Pixar, Dreamworks and Disney has some good alternatives, but Tim Burton has a certain edge to his work that I find amusing. Great sets and wondeful music helps too.
I grew up with BeetleJuice, Scissorhands, NBX, and his Batman films. I loved them all, and I still do. And yes, Ed Wood is indeed his best work. There is absolutley no doubt about it.

Some Burton films I love, some I am indifferent to, and some just date too much, but Scissorhands, Sleepy Hollow and Ed Wood are probably my favourite. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is OK too (I have no attachment to the original or the book). Sweeney Todd looks interesting.
I SINCERELY HOPE YOU CUNTS NEVER BUILD PLANES

i thought it was a great film .. maybe a lil slow at first but i think i was just trying to get a grasp on what the style of the film was.. i want to watch it again.
Ed Wood is still his best work
and Charlie n his factory or corpse bride are my least favorite of the depp collaboration.
