Tomahawk in Boston!

Post by Sheogorath »

This was my first time seeing Patton...and it was probably the best show I've been to. (I could be biased, considering he's my favorite artist...hell, I know I'm biased...but, hey.) If anyone's interested, I tried to get some good photos.

Great pics Thank You!

I'm sure the show was great. I was able to hit Philly and DC. What a fucking ride!

You caught two shows? Awesome! Doing that didn't occur to me until afterwards...I could have kicked myself. I should have bought a ticket for NY after they left MA. It SO would have been worth the trip. Who knows when he'll come around again. But, the Boston show was great...and it made it even better that I managed to get the perfect spot. Front row, slightly-off-center, right up against the barrier. I've never been that close to any band before; I'm so glad that the one time I was, it was for him. ^.^

Yeah, I planned it out not sure if it could go down, but pulled the plug last minute for Philly when I knew we could all
make it to both without some bullshit obligation. We drove up to Philly early Tuesday morning, checked in and had
enough time to grab a quick shower and hit the doors. Had it easy next day as we slept in drove down to DC (DMZ) and
had a nice lunch and checked out some sites, checked in to the hotel and rested up for the show.

Union Transfer was ok / not bad and fairly new I think. 9:30 Club is ok but the gestapo security force of 200 and its
proximity to hotels will discourage me from ever going there to see any band unless it's the only option. I wished they would have played Ram's Head in Balty and Cat's Cradle in Raleigh. That would have been a bit better.

Saw them in Nashville and Memphis last October, too. Glad that worked out. Venues were ok, but way more laid back scene! Viva Tennessee!!!

The Cat's Cradle is in Carrboro. Its 30 minutes west of downtown Raleigh, so to me, it's west Raliegh, so is Chapel Hill. I know where it is because I have been there a couple billion times. Straight enough? and fuck Durham that has been section 8 for years now, so don't even try it.

Carboro and Chapel Hill are basically the same city: chapel hill to the east, carboro to the west. They say carboro is the Asheville of the NC piedmont plateau. I replaced my mayo jar after the last power outage. I don't fukin play.

all that matters in Chapel Hill.

Patton will probably never grace the Cradle again. Sad! I hope they do a real east coast tour before dissappearing for 4 or 5 years again. At least they called it a short mini us tour on thier site and NOT an east coast tour (New York, Philly, and DC are not the east coast, but more like inland disposal areas ... a dirty south tour needs to prevail, we are owed and I spent loot traveling to shitty Philly and DMZ for them.

Keep your dreams and fantasies to yourself bro. But yes, Carboro is much seedier than Chapel Hill.

May go see SC3 in October. I frequent the mountains, but I don't usually visit Sheville, I have heard stories though, fucking hippies and... I heard of a bar called the Raunchy Carpet.

I wouldn't want stardom. However, I have traveled extensively, but I guess to you that might mean a trip to Florence, SC, for a DQ double dipped cone, so, I won't take up your time with grandma and bore you with details of this big rock we live on called Earth.

Hey... I love Florence. I use to live there! Never been to a DQ ever though, or the local Cold Stone. My grandparents all passed away before I was born. Though, I am beginning to doubt the validity of everything you say when talking about yourself. It seems like a kid talking himself up. It's kind of adorable.

Well, I take 74/76 to 95 when I go south, so I'll wave and spit when I blow past the mexican amusement park. Fucking boring 1.5 hour ride but i guess it keeps the yankees away when they travel back to New York. I see they are finally demolishing those 60's style motels from a bygone era of trapping tourists. Myrtle Beach usually sucks in all the punks and trash for the last decade. House of Blues gets bands occasionally. Flo Town sucks unless you build Hondas.
