someone should explain what irony is to you.

sockhop gruel wrote:one might say that something that has no effect on them "sucks".
simply not possible. saying 'it sucks' clearly shows there is an effect.

you know the irony of talking about intelligence and brains and misspelling the word brain. that's the definition of irony mr. smartypants. share with us what's not ironic about that dude.

totally possible if pinning a title on the experience itself ala "this milkshake has no flavor whatsoever,
this thirst quenching experience sucks"
or "the music coming from this band does not move me in the slightest, my current concert experience sucks".
not only that, "one" might say a lot of things that you or I may deem not possible or nonsense.
this is nothing jaw dropping or debatable in the least.
another another thing, I gave my reasons for my word choice ("sux")
in which I clearly indicated how clueless I am on the vacuum that is "good" and/or "bad".
I suppose if I were to color the effect of NOFX's music on me, the hue would not be "sux".
it would be more along the lines of "wait didn't I just hear this fucking song, no wait...
this is a differe... but it still has that... wait, WHY am I still listening to this!!?!".
and this is a hue that most people could/would paint a majority of my music collection.
that is fine though. the same way that it is fine that people like raw onions.
I don't think I have ever shared this here, but I really hate raw onions. I can NOT imagine eating a raw onion like an apple.
in fact, I think people that do that... they possess a certain sandpaper ruff/cowboy quality.

So NOFX sucks? Not really. They are pretty cool. However Mike you must realize most of the people who will respond to anything you post are mental midgets looking for attention.

April 24th Fat Wreck Chords will be releasing a limited edition NOFX deluxe box set that contains 18 classic NOFX 7”s and a “fucking terrible” demo that NOFX recorded in 1984. Many of 7″ titles have been long out of print, such as Don’t Call Me White, All of Me, Louise & Liza, Timmy the Turtle, Pods & Gods, 13 Stitches, etc. Artwork for each 7” has been spruced up and new vinyl masters have been cut.

Pre-orders are already up at the Fat webstore

I like them but i couldn't spend that kind of money on a bunch of old 45s
Can't buy them for the songs since they already released most of those rare songs on CD.
So buy it as a collector? What kind of collector would want a new boxset of reprints?

I see no value in this...
How much you think it'll go for on ebay once they're sold out?

probably a good chunk of change.

the 'special edition' has already sold out...the standard one is still available at $100.

In the summer I sold 2 nofx records on ebay:
-wolves in wolves clothing on yellow vinyl, unplayed
-coaster (frisbee) on orange vinyl, unplayed

I got like $15 each for them. where were all those idiots when I was selling first prints?? hahaha
they're not idiots, i'm sorry.

15 x 18 = 270

I don't think they'll be that much...you never know though...
