I'm more concerned for Spurs that they won't be able to score with both Berbatov and Bent on the park. One to keep an eye on.
He's only set pieces apart from Bellamy who is a woeful but fast player. Bale will improve, but Ashley Cole or Gareth Barry he aint. Bale cannot take a man on, people know he's a poor shot so the right thing for defenders to do when faced with a pacey player with a poor long shot is to avoid closing him down and to avoid closing the player down too early and simply mark him and wait for the right time to tackle, especially since Bale can't cross either. Bale as a winger should provide spurs with two options when he runs at defenders, if he's a left footed player, then the crossed should be the right option, but Bale can't cross very well (yet) and if he was a right footed player on that flank, he should have the skill to cut inside and go for long shots or the killer through ball, bale's passing and shot are not good enough for that either. On Saturday, Bale took advantage of Manu's attacking wing backs and got in behind them, but never threatened. Bale at the moment has one string to his bow but will improve. The fact his pitiful display on Saturday is earning him any praise is testament to a lacklustre Spurs on Saturday, rather than a good Bale. Running mindlessly at a defender with no end product is forever praised for some reason.

He played on Saturday?
No wonder he was knackered.

Well, maybe. But Downing at the World Cup was comical.

Funny thing is he loses half a yard of pace because his hair weighs 59kg.

It's hard to support a manager after a match like that. Jol made possibly the worst substitutions I've seen all season. Up 3-1 so he throws Defoe on at Keane's expense, even though all game his and Berbatov's runs were basically setting up a shot on goal every attack. Defoe just stood around as usual waiting to take a touch and shoot. The dominance up forward went completely after that.

Then they got one back from a lucky deflection, and he throws another defender on. I don't think I've ever seen Spurs hold on for the points after going that tack. It's even worse because last night I saw Arsenal eat up valuable time by doing the exact opposite - just slotting it around the midfield for half an hour after Sendy decided he was already sick of playing after a couple of games.

Going to have to get obscenely drunk for this next game.

His English is not the best but he appears to be confusing the Championship and the Champion's League.

Explains this selection:

Makes Lehmann look like Buffon.

It would have been nice if they'd put a bit more effort into this shirt:

How much more?
What would you have done?

Less it more.
I would've put it on white.
I would've stuck with one font.
If I was a spurs fan I wouldn't have a crying sheila on my shirt.
If I wasn't a spurs fan I would've had just one crying sheila on the shirt, with bigger fontage.

You want me to make one up for you?

Yes.
Several.
One for each day of the week.

Now.
