My brother tells me Guitar Hero 4 will be better than Rock Band.
Am I to believe him?

from what I understand, from what people are saying, this is the opinion of the people who feel that the latest selection of songs put out for Rock Band are not \m/ROCK\m/ enough.

(See, Mitch, I pay attention )

Guitar Hero 4 looks awesome as you can compose your own songs on it.

Super Smash Bros (wii) - Pretty manic 4-player fun whilst stoned. Tried it sober the next morning and quickly lost interest.

You really need to be under the influence of something to enjoy a Wii game..
...or incredibly bored...

Give me some fucking depth, Nintendo!

For that it seems you needs to go back to the SNES (and Squaresoft).

between that and the upcoming 3-d-ish remake of Bionic Commando (subtitled "Rearmed"), my inner 8-year-old is foaming at the mouth.

Geometry Wars 2 improves on the first one in every possible way, without making the original obsolete.

Played through Shadow of the Colossus recently. It's short, but a beautifully excellent game.

I'm digging Team ICO's minimal approach to design. Can't wait to see what they do with a PS3.
You're breaking my heart, asswipe.

I can't believe how dynamic it is..
Do you remember that quest based around Cropsford? The Goblin War?
Man, stealing the Totem (again) once you've told the settlers that the War is over is ridiculously funny

I just try to think of extremely convoluted ways of fucking people up. Last one I cam up with was that I enchanted a dagger to give it's victim health regeneration and a warhammer that destroys weapons. Now, meet a bastard and drop the enchanted dagger on the floor, bash him with the hammer until his weapon crumbles and he'll pick up the dagger and try to fuck you up. Put the hammer away and fight him with fists and get your bear knuckle stats boosted in the process while he kindly stabs vitality into you.

At the moment (Games-wise), i'm moving between Oblivion and Mass Effect..
I think I prefer the latter, though.

I agree. There's no better single player FPS on the 360 that comes close apart from Half Life 2 Episode 2 and that fdalls way short. Graw 1 and 2 are worth a look but Bioshock is on another playing field completely.

mass Effect is fantastic. The IGN review flawed the games combat dynamics, but if you've ever left the Warhammer paint studios and put down your dungeons and dragons crap down for five mins and ever played a FPS you'll see the combat borrows heavily from GRAW and Half Life 2 throwing in some of the lessons learned from their experience with the magnificent Jade Empire - which essentially means that the combat is fine but not intuitive to those who are not experienced FPS players.
