Re: not so recent films

For some reason I just watched "Haggard" on YouTube to kill time. :| Oh and I watched the 2nd Universal Soldier movie "...Returns" last night from the trilogy of UniSols blu-rays my other half got me. It was pretty bad. Still have "...Regeneration" to watch, which I dig.

Re: classical music

I like a lot of Mahler, Saint-Saens, Holst (Planets, of course) and Wagner. Used to live with a guy who said "he was glad to be born so he could listen to the music of Bach", but I'm more of a Beethoven man myself.

Moonlight Sonata, 5th Symphony, that kind of thing.

The Stranglers

Saw 'em last night, their drummer is half machine, half decrepit old man, their keyboard player plays lots of tinkly noises, no one knows who their singer/guitarist is, but he looks like Jon Hudson and the French bassist is still a moody git. First song was ok, second song, the drummer's drum machin...

True Grit is fantastic.
My mate gave me the original on DVD for my birthday too, so expect a comparative review sometime.
