Safron farming would be a most profitable venture if one had the available land.

That shits more expensive than gold-plated smack.

Style over substance is problematic in the best of hands. Visually, I thought it was pretty good (though obviously a blatant pasticcio) and the story was interesting enough to keep me watching, but thats about as far as it goes. Tarantino shits me more often than not these days.

Edmond

Edmond

William H Macy, Julia Styles.

Uh yeah, I don't remember all of this film, but what I do remember, I liked. The last 20 minutes were particularly disturbing.

Mmhmm.

You'd think they'd include Hearts of Darkness (the docco) with it too. Thats ace, especially for the footage of Martin Sheen having the drug induced mental break down / heart attack.

Jindabyne: I dunno what they added to it, but I've heard it said it's a bit too long. So much of the story (and indeed all of Carver's) is just in the emptiness and emotional distance all the characters have, giving emphasis to their internal struggles etc. Much like Lantana (Svetlana In Slingbacks)...

A very delicate tasting beer, in spite of it's overall potency compared to most domestics.

Q: So what fine vintage is Maynard drinking in the photo?.. A: It's a DOW'S 2000 Vintage Porto (Portugal), although I'm not sure why he selected that particular bottle. I can tell you, however, that what he left went pretty damn good with a slice of Snicker's cake from Solly's bakery. That and that...

I'm forever thankful for France's influence on Vietnam. Our bakeries would be in a sad state if it were not so.
