ever seen that "Two Fat Ladies" show?

Is it just me, or they absolutely drench everything in fat? They use ridiculously high amounts of butter everytime they cooked on the show.

I've eaten Tofu, both the soft and the hard kind. The soft tastes like nothing and is crap, the hard is just crap.

Macrobiotic food can be utterly inedible sometimes. If you just saw the crap I get at my Uni's cafeteria sometimes... Specially some tofu dishes. Veggie burger rocks though.

That research is flawed by the way. Olive Oil is very safe for cooking. In fact, you should boil it up and drink it. Especially if you're dutch. Drink it while still hot? Or let it cool down? It's not that dangerous.
Generally trans fatty acids are responsible for the stale smell of old butter, etc.
You'll have to ask my brother though, he's the one with the degree in biochemistry.
