Been thinking about it. Nearly picked up a book from the library today. I might grab it after I've churned through a bit more that they've got that's on my list. No. But I want to. Busiek's current run on Superman is meant to be pretty good. I've heard mixed reviews about his stuff outside of Astro ...

Wenger'll sign someone, but Arshavin is a bit risky unless he swings a bargain.
Arsenal won't offer him anything more than two years, if they actually are interested.

Fair call. I can agree with your evaluation.

I just finished American Gods. I liked it a lot. Makes me want to read up on Norse Mythology, amongst other stuff.

Might start Bradbury's Martian Chronicles next.

What I've seen of him has been OK. He definitely needs more exposure at that level to be able to cope with it, I reckon. [/Catch22]

I've got one of those Hellboy Library Editions on it's way.

As for Moore, I opened V for Vendetta recently and didn't bother.
I recall liking the Killing Joke, and some Swamp Thing.

I thought it was fantastic to look at, but the dialogue was inexcusable, and David Wenham should be ashamed of himself for standing out as the poorest of the poor with his Frank Spencer/Spartan mash-up.

I'm so fucking buying that. Thanks, Jem. I'm a big fan of Slaine. Carn the Celtic berserker fury! Currently reading Umbrella Academy, Abe Sapien, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer (Gawd help me). My wife digs Emily the Strange. I've been thinking about revisiting some Slaine. What's Umbrella Academy like...

Comic Books Thread

I've been reading a lot of comics lately. First time in years. The local library has a large collection of graphic novels and TPBs, so I've been spoiled for choice. Churning through a lot of Warren Ellis' stuff, like Fell, Ocean, Newuniversal and http://www.freakangels.com/ Also Absolute Sandman, Th...

Why can't he just pretend the aliens are there in the scene with him like he does in real life?
Surely he doesn't need a computer simulation to prove to him that they are there?!
