Re: Big Love
I Can't say flawless, that last season was a bit over the top at times. Love the show but very happy its finishing up. The scope of the show was always, and only never needed to be about the family's internal relationships. Hopefully now all the politics and corporate play has come to a head, I'm ho...

It was visually quite stunning and I was happy to see the final scene play out just how I'd imagined it.

Also noteworthy by Suskind is a wee little short story paperback called The Double-Bass.
Its the paranoid/egotistical rantings of a double-bass player in an orchestra. Only about 50 pages long (if that) from memory, but enjoyable none the less.

Will try and wake up to buy tix right at 9am. Well, no, I WILL do that. But also, to get all gushy, I saw at the same venue (the newly reopened, and less trashy than in my parent's day BILLBOARD) - Blonde Redhead tix have been on sale for 3 weeks. That fucked my shit up, and I purchased post haste. ...

They were great last tour. Second set was all Bad Seeds songs - some great reinterpretations. A really dirty / fast version of Henry Lee, springs to mind

Fine then precious: Grizzly Man - Fave docco ever. Werner Herzog is insane himself, and his documentaries seem to be fascinated with the fringes of society - this is the one about the guy who loved bears and was eaten by one. Overnight - Tracks the rise and fall of the guy who directed Boondock Sain...

Much less embarrassing without the narration (Director's Cut version)
Also isn't the ending different in the original release? As in, a happy ending as opposed to the book.
Kinda like tears in rain, if you ask me.

Thanks for the recommendation on I Think We're Alone Now. Brief but insane.
My main thought coming away from it is when did Hermaphrodite become un-PC? I actually had to look up 'intersexual' - never heard the term before. I'm gonna have words with the tranny at my work about that.
