We've signed more players than most clubs. Particularly happy with Gomes coming in and Robinson going to Blackburn.

Whoa. We're using Songy in a serious discussion now? Times change.

This is the first I've heard of Barry and Arsenal. He's either going to Liverpool for a suitable Rafa price or warming that Villa bench for an enjoyable five years. He'd probably get on with Gallas like a house on fire, though.

Arsenal love turncoat ex-captains, eh? Anyway, maybe Wenger was telling a bit more truth than I originally thought when he made that stadium-debt whinge a few weeks ago. Levy would do well to see how Arsenal go about their dealings this summer. Xabi Alonso seems the latest rumour. But yeah. Grain of...

Hleb is gone for real now. And Gilberto too?

That makes three holding-men offloaded in the last few months that haven't been replaced. I can't work out who Wenger is looking at putting there. The best I can see is Diaby, and I don't know about him yet.

League of Extraordinary Gentlemen has been on my list for a long time. I think I'll finally dip in when the new volume comes out.

I haven't read that one, but short of Watchmen, Alan Moore bores me senseless.

I'm currently re-reading my old Hellboys. Mignola's art is stunning sometimes. Haven't got to the newer stuff where Fegredo is at the helm.

We've been dominating the vast majority of games but the whole aspect of them ultimately not meaning anything has led to the finishing being rather non-cutthroat. I can see Ramos is going to be very dependent on fit, attacking fullbacks just like at Sevilla, the recent game against Reading a fitting...

Modric's signing may persuade him that next year's service from midfield might be good enough to make him stay for another year or two. I don't really mind if he stays or goes this year. Ramos has instilled some faith.

I had a few sentences typed out to try and summarise it, but I couldn't really give the thing proper justice. Give it a go on wikipedia, Rick. I'd suggest to anyone to give it a read in its intended form before the film. Incidentally if you've disliked any of Alan Moore's work prior to this, don't l...

God, I hate the current use that word. Anyway, the screenshots look ok. The movie really does bother me. The book was all inter textual references and subversions of the comic genre. Since it's being done by the 300 guy I'm pretty sure they'll be going down the action-superhero path, ignoring the as...

He really has to go. I was worried about the way he left Wigan, and his antics at the Cup brought it all back. We have one much better RB now in Hutton, Gunter is the project player for that position, and the way Ramos coached at Sevilla you'd expect expect more attacking-fullbacks to be coming in o...

Let's bear in mind that it could have been a high speed shutter that happened to catch him mid-blink. Paparazzi are known for such devious tricks, but then, Arsenal fans will believe any tabloid bile because their own players are so fucking boring. Never would have thought of that. Crazy tabloid-lo...

Poor Zokora. You couldn't doubt his enthusiasm, though. He kept Lampard and Essien very quiet for the majority of the match too. The slow-mo replay of his reaction to Berbatov's penalty was glorious.
