Re: General Yid Chat

Funny what happens when a proven twenty-goal-a-season striker is played in his preferred position, eh Rafa? Nine points to go, says The Twitch.

Latest rumours are Christian Slater, Sandra Bullock and Ben Kingsley. This is getting more viral hype than Snakes On A Plane.

The guy with the hat from Dexter who can't pronounce his "R"s is also in.

'Arry's getting the band back together. I love it.

Where's Noe Pamarot and Helder Postiga, damn it?

I'm with Rick here. Eboue has drive and heart, but just isn't good enough for where Arsenal wants to be. Kind of like Malouda with Chelsea. I know what you mean by him being a "confidence-player", but in the position Arsenal finds itself right now behind Villa for that fourth spot, it's pr...

Maybe that's Toast-ois who hates him. I can't keep track.

Yeah, the tennis is on, Hewitt lost in the first round and Tottenham got to Wembley again (cough). Hard to complain about much.

You seem emotional, Rick. Everything good, apart from having to watch Bendtner on your team every week?

This is a word by word transcript of the final, climactic battle scene.
''THE BATTLE IS ON!! WHAT ENSUES IS A REMARKABLY SAVAGE EBB AND FLOW BATTLE. TO DESCRIBE THE ACTION DESIGNED FOR THIS SCENE WOULD TAKE MANY PAGES, SO TRUST ME, IT'LL BE LIKE NOTHING SEEN BEFORE.''

Saw this last night and loved it. Had the opportunity at a few points to take the overly safe and sappy route but didn't, which I applaud.

The Boss's song at the end is awesome as well.

I know what you mean, but if we keep playing this five-man midfield we're going to keep struggling to score on most days. It's a pickle.

The Expendables

This thread will probably be dead by the time the film actually comes out, so maybe just consider this a heads-up for what will in all likelihood be the greatest movie ever made. Director: Sylvester Stallone Writer: Sylvester Stallone (screenplay) Cast: Jason Statham - Lee Christmas Sylvester Stallo...

Wall-E was so good.

It's no Paris, Tejas either (face it, what is?) but definitely one of the best movies I saw in '08. It loses its way a tad when the humans come in, but everything up to that point is stunning.

Huddlestone is really only suited to the slower pace of UEFA Cup matches. He really doesn't like being rushed with the ball. He's so young, though. With that shot he has on him, we have to stick with him. Did you see him destroy Pav from twenty yards away on the weekend? The problem with Zokora is t...

Ramos in at Real. This sport boggles my mind sometimes.

I guess nobody has more experience in how to manage a team with eighty strikers and barely one defender than him.

Gomes was probably man of the match. The guy can throw the thing as far as most kick it. Freak. Corluka finally signed. Good option considering he can play at right-back, centre-half and as a holding mid. Pavlyuchenko also in but is cup-tied to Spartak Moscow in the UEFA Cup. One more striker please.

Oh, please. Typical Wenger spin/rubbish. He's been forced into taking that position because of the club owing so much on that new stadium. It's a noble strategy to pursue, granted, but one that would be far different if the club was in a stronger position financially.

I've been following Nasri ever since I discovered his awesomeness in Football Manager a few years ago. He was the best purchase of any club over the summer in my opinion (most pundits went with Modric for this - we'll see). Marseilles are really going to miss him.
