Lost in Adaptations..

Book to film adaptations! Almost always a problematic situation, but it can be done well none the less. Though more often than not it is not. Which tickle your fancies? For starters, the gangster stories... The Godfather : A trashy but enthralling novel and a fantastic trilogy. Some of the editing p...

So then, traditional (original) cheddar must be illegal in Australia because they use unpasteurised milk. What a joke. We are living in a society which seeks to protect us from ourselves as though we're mongoloids. Actually, I think they just overturned this, with cheeses at least, though probably ...

I really don't know why more people don't do it. It's also fairly intensive in terms of processing too.

I saw a report on some Aussie safron farms on Landline or some such. They were doing pretty well with it, but as with any independent farming operation, market penetration can be problematic.

The Perfect Man

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0380623/ A thought provoking and heartfelt tale. The quintessential documenting of the human condition. The sexual tension between Heather Locklear and Hillary Duff's boyfriend fuels a discourse of post-reflexive idiosyncratic dialectics that subversively, and to their cr...

Well I found it failed in being 'noir' stylized, though it tried - but then they'd put something slighly 'comic-like' in it, more in line with the rest of the movies / 60s series. And as for the plot - it fell on its face. Machinist could have been a little cleverer, yes, but man - just looking at h...

Bahahaha.

Your mug antics have deserved STFU, but thats nothing (especially once bill sends me the gold plated mug of reunification).

Ah well. Everyone knows the difference between occasional aversion and downright reprehensibility.

Keep on trucking

Clooney pretty much sold it as "The film made by actors who care about the truth and are willing to break all the Hollywood rules". Smug and self important. That being said, whilst it's hardly the most shocking film (wow, America doesn't respect the sovereignity of other nations, I never k...

Re: Lord of War

I thought both more and less of this film than I'll properly address just yet.. This is basically Goodfellas crossed with Syriana, and is sadly, more like the former in any way that matters. The protaganist is an arms dealer played by Nicholas Cage, who is reprehensible, but still represented as the...
