Re: Recent Games. A very brief opinion..

I'm thoroughly enjoying this game. Pretty impressive for a Live Arcade. Seems like there's one every year that just stands out. Braid was last year's. Yup, it's pretty special. I'm glad that developers are finally realising that this generation's hardware is perfect for making amazing 2D games, rat...

Re: Faith No More's Return Official

A band that sells out 20,000-seat arenas is going to open for a band that barely filled 1,000-capacity clubs the last time they toured the US? faith no more is bigger now than they were back in 97 arent they? I don't think their weight is a problem. Patton's kept fit, the others just need to be abl...

Re: Recent Games. A very brief opinion..

I've reverted back to Fallout 3. I fell out of love with Fallout 3 when I completed it. I restarted and I thought I'd seen everything the game had to offer. I've since found new locations, met some interesting new characters and I'm having a blast again. Yep, currently in love with this game myself...

Re: Recent films. A very brief opinion.

Recently watched Going Down Under , the American distrobution of the never released Australian film Meat Pie . I'd put it up there as the most atrocious film I've ever seen. It is crass, racist, sexist, and offensive in pretty much every imaginable way. It is also almost entirely sans a script to s...

Re: Watchmen

Reviews, anyone? SPOILARS!! Bad: Carla Gugino was uniformly terrible in every scene besides the one where she is beaten up. Malin Akerman was wildly inconsistent, depending on who she was acting against. Adrian Veidt, Manhattan and The Comedian disappeared from the middle of the film. Richard Nixon...

Umm... Is anyone still looking forward to this?

If so, this might be "nail-in-the-coffin" type material:

Another trailer:

The acting looks to be pretty flat and Rorschach's voice is already annoying. Yay.

Played the Mirror's Edge demo on XBLA. As far as minimalist first-person parkour simulators go, it's pretty good - questionable button layout, but shows lots of promise. Worth a try.

Played through Shadow of the Colossus recently. It's short, but a beautifully excellent game.

I'm digging Team ICO's minimal approach to design. Can't wait to see what they do with a PS3.

Ummm... why did they use the Pumpkins song from Batman and Robin? Is that, like, irony or something? Discuss.

I concur with the Downey love. It's great to see an actor actually enjoying a role for once.

Wish I liked the last third more than I did, though.

Oh my god SPOILERS!

Well, if you want to see what they're doing with it, Hayter's script can be found here. The shooting script they're using is apparently the same, but with more fight scenes and an ending closer to the comic.

I am considering getting back into drugs because of this game.

Great while you're watching it, but the whole movie is one long "as if[\i] you'd do that!" sequence.

Falls apart at even the most rudimentary scrutiny.

That said though, yeah, the helicopter scene is great!

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0809931/ Wow. Fucking Awesome. Yep, this one's a absolute keeper. This movie was just plain stupid. ... The film can be summarized by the reaction of the audience at the end of the screening. There was total silence......someone muttering "is that it?". Wasn't ...

It's also the shakiest shaky-cam film ever.

Halo 3 multiplayer RULES I'm loving the theatre/screenshot function. This is one of my prouder moments: I'd just walked away from a firefight with another guy and my shields were down to nothing. I ran straight into another dude who was more than happy to finish me off. Just before I died I blindly...

Sounds interesting.

Who were the company that put it on and where did they do it?
